BROS members Tom Cane and Rachel Williams were among the winners at tonight’s Swan awards for their roles in last year’s The Producers, with the show also winning Best Musical overall.
The awards were presented by renowned actress Samantha Bond at the glittering Arts Richmond event in Teddington.
Tom Cane played accountant Leo Bloom, while Rachel Williams portrayed Swedish beauty Ulla Inga Hansen Benson Yansen Tallen Hallen Svaden Swanson. Other BROS members who were nominated for the Swan awards included Mat Madeley, Bryan Cardus, Nigel Cole and Heather Mathew – all for their respective roles in The Producers.
The Producers was directed by Deb McDowell with assistance from Sarah Perkins, plus musical direction from Janet Simpson and choreography by Jennifer Moorhead. The Production Manager was Lottie Walker.
Established in 1966, Arts Richmond is a charity which supports the arts in and around the Richmond area, including the various amateur dramatics groups which operate in the borough. BROS is no stranger to the Swan awards, having won numerous accolades over the years with a variety of shows.
