Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the 1988 MGM film of the same name, which starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin in the roles of Lawrence Jamieson and Freddy Benson. One is a high-flying con artist, the other’s an American hustler, but when the two meet in the idyllic Riviera town of Beaumont-sur-Mer, sparks fly. Plus, word has reached Lawrence that the reclusive ‘Jackal’ is preying on wealthy tourists around his patch. His trade (and reputation) is under threat, so what’s to be done? The con is on!
